2004 IN REVIEW

This past year was one filled with sorrow, excitement, and activity. We were saddened to have several members of the Mission Printing family pass from this life, but excited that they finally received the reward for which they had prepared. Many of our family members had illnesses and surgeries in 2004. Those that are recovering continue to need your prayers and encouragement.

As I have mentioned in past newsletters, 2004 also saw a financial deficit for another year. This continues to be a thorn in our side. We ask that you and your congregation pray for Mission Printing and its future in world evangelism.

2004 also brought great joy to the Mission Printing family. We experienced the addition of many new volunteers and financial contributors. We welcomed the Smithfield Church of Christ as a family member. This evangelistic congregation decided to decided to financially support our work on a regular basis. It is always uplifting when congregations and individuals see the value of the great ministry that Mission Printing is involved in around the globe. I was able to travel to several lectureships this past year and promote the work. I attended the Fort Worth Lectureship at the Brown Trail Church of Christ, Oklahom Christian University Lectureship, Sunset Church of Christ Combined Workshop, Red River Family Encampment, Sunset World Mission Workshop, and the Harding University Lectureship. I also spoke at several congregations promoting Mission Printing. The word was spread in 2004.

2004 Printing Accomlishments

20,080,000 pages

approx. 1,000 miles

over 63,000 pounds

These numbers would be incredible by professional standards. Our printers aren't professional printers. They are men in their 60s and 80s who get their strength and commitment from their Savior! These men printed approximately 1,000 miles of gospel material in 2004! Mission Printing has never printed this volume before. We used 156 roles of paper, each weighting about 436 lbs. Mission Printing shipped about 80,000 lbs. of material to people throughout the world! People are starving for the Truth and God is using Mission Printing to feed them. Praise God!

Our workers that collate the books are collating over 5,000 copies a day! Amazing! Especially when you know that our volunteers are in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s! "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power..." (2 Timothy 1:7).

2004 also saw the addition of Sam Harding, our printer, as a board member. We are excited about Bro. Harding taking on this vital leadership role. Sam will be a great force that will help guide Mission Printing into the future.

It was an especially exciting and activity filled year for my family with the birth of our daughter, Courtney Ruth Dollarhide, in October. As I look into the innocent eyes of my three childre, they remind me why I am part of the Mission Printing family and that we have an important journey ahead of us.

Mission Printing celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2004. We had almost 100 people attend our celebration in December. It was a great time of remembering the past of Mission Printing and praying for the future.

May God continue to bless the Mission Printing family in 2005!

Mission Printing is blessed to have Doyle and Roxie Hammons as part of our family. They are long-time members of the College Hill Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. The Hammons have a deep seeded love and commitment to Mission Printing and reaching lost souls for Christ. It is an honor to have this special couple working with us.

Despite their ever increasing health concerns, Brother and Sister Hammons have not missed a step. Doyle has been battling dementia and other health ailments. However, he continues to be dedicated to spreading the Good News. Bro. Hammons is not able to come to Mission Printing every day like he was in past months. He tries to be here on Tuesdays and sit is in his special spot and work across from his beautiful bride. We now send an entire uncollated book home with the hammons for Doyle to collate at home. He loves to work on books at home. Bro. Hammons will usually collate an entire book in two weeks and

can't wait for his next “assignment.” He might be limited on how much he can do in this world, but God still blesses Bro. Hammons with the spirit of a servant. Everyone at Mission Printing is proud and blessed to have a relationship with this great man of faith.

Sister Hammons is a precious soul. Roxie is always willing to help those who need it, whether they know it or not. A king could not find a better prize than to have a woman by his side like Roxie Hammons. The phrase “stand by your man” takes on a powerful meaning when you look into the life of this sister. Christians would do well to view Sister Roxie Hammons as their present day example of a “spirit of power.”

I urge you to find this couple at your earliest convenience and wrap your arms around them and express your love and encouragement. We are all honored and blessed tohave lives with you in them! Thank you from the depths of our souls.

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.”

I have been doing my best with your material by sharing it with individual Christians, evangelists, and congregations of the Lord's body. I also distribute them freely among those who need to come to a knowledge of the Truth.

“We will be more successful in His service with your literature at our side.”

Andhra Pradesh, India

Thank you very much for your wonderful material. I received your parcel in good condition. The material is a great help to us. We will be more successful in His service with your literature at our side. Many perishing souls are benefitting by reading the books which you send us with love and prayers.

Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

Thank you for your last shipment you sent to my home congregation at my request.

I must confess that the material was of great help to four congregations and the harvest has begun. More than thirty souls have been converted to Christ. The spiritual song books that you sent are currently used by this congregation in worship assemblies.

God bless Mission Printing!

Fort Worth, Texas
Highland Hills Church of Christ

We pra to God for another successful year with all the work that is done in His name.

Ebonyi State, Nigeria

I thank God and you for the work of Christ which is penetrating hearts and lands through the printed page. Keep up the good work till the owner of the vineyard comes!

We are not a large congregation but we are working very hard to let every soul hear the true gospel. One of the methods that we use is Mission Printing's wonderful material. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. Yet with the help of your books, we can reach many places!

On-Offlin, Ghana

I came in contact with some of your material when I attended a three day prayer summit. On the last day of the summit, a lovely sister handed some of the material to me.

I was stunned at the divine truths found in the material. I have never had studies that made the Truth so simple to understand. I have come to a deeper understanding of God's word because of Mission Printing. Thank you for your guidance and direction. You have pointed me to the Lord Jesus!

Bolero, Malawi

Thank you a thousand times for sending your material. I am always skeptical with religions books, as 90% of what passes for Christianity today is nothing more that lies being spewed from mouths of wolves.

I gave some of your books to my friends who didn't know anything about God, and now they have all repented from their sins and have been baptized into Christ. These new Christians are now using your material to spread the saving news of our Lord Jesus.

We will always be praying for Mission Printing and for your continued strength and service in the vineyard.

“Keep up the good work till the owner of the vineyard comes!"”

N'Zerekore City, Guinea
Laine Refugee Camp

We are very much impressed with your continued concern for us in Africa. May God richly bless Mission Printing.

Thank you very much for the material that you sent. The gospel meeting was very successful. We distributed more of the material and some will be given during our regular mission work.
